Carlos Beltran turned down Padres interview, looking for ‘right situation’
As the New York Mets begin to search for their next manager and will reportedly target All-Star outfielder Carlos Beltran as a candidate, Beltran has reportedly already declined another team’s inquiry.
According to MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand, Beltran was recently asked to interview for the San Diego Padres’ managerial vacancy and he declined. According to the report, Beltran will only have interest in jobs if it’s the right situation for him.
